The song comes on. You know what song. The one you say ‘Sh sh sh, hold on, I love this song’ as you turn up the volume. The ‘ Oh my gosh I haven’t heard this song in forever’ song, that you proceed to know every single word to.
The Attention We Give to Things
I have developed a ritual of spending the first half-hour of my morning with myself. I’m not one to give advice, but if I were to suggest anything, this precious period of stillness and solitude does wonders for the reboot of the mind. Its not fancy.
We Need More Art
There is pressure to make MORE money, do MORE things, meet MORE people, eat MORE food, eat MORE of the right foods, walk MORE, exercise MORE, be MORE than we already are. We don’t need more. We have enough. We are enough. There is still the exact same amount of happiness available in the joy we find in the simple things.
